What are the rules of crazy pineapple and how is crazy pineapple played? Well, crazy pineapple is played exactly the same way as texas hold em poker except that you are dealt three hole cards instead of two. After the flop and a round of betting, you are required to discard one card, in essence once the turn card is displayed you are playing the same game as texas hold em. At the showdown for Crazy Pineapple, players may use either:
- Both remaining pocket cards & three boardcards
- One remaining pocket card & four boardcards
- All five boardcards (playing the board)
Extra strategy is involved in Crazy Pineapple. For example, you must sometimes decide whether to discard your current "best hand" after the flop in order to potentially draw to an even better hand such as a flush or a straight!
